After our rehearsal we headed over to the bar/restaurant where Mr. Pineapple and I went on our first date. (Although we didn’t know it was a date at the time.) Smokin’ Joe’s Saloon was just a couple blocks from where both Mr. P and I lived at the time and we met there after work almost every day, no joke. So this little bar with the best condiments I have ever had and 60 beers on tap became our home away from home.

I was a little unsure about our choice to have our rehearsal dinner at a bar at first. Once we arrived, I was so glad we did. Everyone had a blast; Mike the manager even moved the table out of the way so we could practice our line dancing for the next day. It was a wonderfully laid back way to celebrate and pay tribute to the place where it all began.

Love Again: Rehearsal Dinner
FH’s BFF had their rehearsal @ a brewery and it was great! No clue where we’ll do ours yet.
We’re tossing around the idea of having our rehearsal dinner at a bowling alley. Half our wedding party lives out of state and have never met so we thought something like bowling would be a fun way for everyone to get to know each other before the wedding. Plus, my family loves bowling.
I hope you are talking about Smokin’ Joe’s on the South Side. They have the best quesadillas!!! 
I want a rehearsal dinner that is laid back. I love the idea if having it at a bowling alley. My FMIL wants to have a sit down dinner. So, there is a little drama going on. We’ll see what happens.
We’re not doing a real rehearsal dinner. We’ll have many out of town guests and the wedding is in a very small town with not much to do, so we’re having a big barbecue (that’s southern barbecue, as in pork) and a bluegrass band!
